About Robert Budd:

Robert Budd is a Certified Instructor, offering effective and efficient training. He creates completely original workouts 5 days a week for his clients in Encinitas, California.

Roberts workouts combine the best of exercises from a number of areas, including: body weight (gravity) exercises, suspension straps, rowing, yoga, and pilates.

With a background in martial arts, powerlifting, bodybuilding, swimming, body surfing, football, basketball, long distance running and Russian kettlebell athletics (Girevoy sport), Robert knows how to program workouts to be safe, effective, and balanced - to prevent injuries and overtraining.

Roberts training is based around functional movement. His suspension strap training involves movement in different planes, with both static and dynamic strength, to enhance everyday life. If functional movement is practiced in a controlled environment (workouts), then the movements required for lifes little surprises and spills will have less adverse effects.

Robert has been a Certified Kettlebell Instructor (RKC) since 2006 and a Level II Certified Russian Kettlebell Instructor since 2007. He is now invited to be a Team Leader Instructor of candidates for Russian Kettlebell Instructors Certification by Chief Instructor Pavel Tsatsouline.

Pros and cons of Suspension Strap Gravity Training: Bodyweight Resistance Workout Videos app for iPhone and iPad

Suspension Strap Gravity Training: Bodyweight Resistance Workout Videos app good for

easy to understand -although TRX itself is not easy at all in the beginning
Great variety of exercises in the workout videos. Good description and videos for each exercises. For workout videos could use trx strap terms ( fully short, half length, etc).
Great app. Wanted to give it 5 stars but last star wouldnt engage. Love the workouts and the portable equipment
Shows exercise options, plus series of prepared workouts. When you have more time can do additional rounds, and as you get beat you just adjust your feet to power through

Some bad moments

Mr. Budd provides a great resource for training on your own. There is a review of the 4 basic movements, 38 exercise demonstrations, 5 workout videos and a few extras, such as basic set up instructions and single handle use. This is not a trainer or timer for use during workouts, but a way to refresh your memory of specific exercises. Compared to the $39.99 TRX Force app, this is a bargain; simple to use and watch, and takes up very little space on your device. No in-app purchase annoyances or glitches. Thanks for this!
I am very excited about trying this app tomorrow. I downloaded today after going to the gym and only doing a few basic TRX moves. I really wanted to do more but couldnt think of anything else. So far I have gone though a few of the videos, everything is explained well and the info videos are super helpful. The PT (forgot his name, Im sure once I use this a few more times I will remember!) is pretty well spoken, no umma or long pauses while he is explaining the techniques. Will add to my review after a few sessions!
This app has tons of TRX exercises with step by step directions! Worth every penny!
Love it learn so much with this app and a lot cheeper then personal training at my gym
I like the basic function of the app. Nice that it works on all my apple devices. I wanted something on my phone and easy to reference. Internet of course has some great stuff and demo videos but didnt want to google all over for them unless I was looking for something specific. Only thing I would want is the ability to customize a workout by adding the videos together to form my own programs. Video is a little weak on quality for airplay to big screen but better than the ones from official app from trx. Ps. Dig his hair
I took one TRX class with a trainer just to make sure my technique was good. He said it was great. Just follow the videos and with time youll get it down, and good results. Love the app.
